Coach Rasnick provided a very informative webinar last night designed to help high school pole vaulters and their expectations for the collegiate recruiting process. I have been a pole vault coach for over 35 years and have been on the staff of the National Reno Pole Vault Summit for over 25 years. It has taken me a long time together much of the information Coach Rasnick provided on 90 minutes. And there were a few ideas I had not yet been exposed to yet. I would highly recommend that any high school pole vaulter who is considering pole vaulting in college to sign up for the course. It is the best $45 I have spent in a long time!

About Brooke Rasnick
Brooke (Demo) Rasnick coached collegiate track and field at the Universtiy of Oregon, Kent State University and the University of Lousiville. Her event group became one of the most successful crews in Louisville history with the recent success of having a #1 NCAA event squad ranking and coaching Gabriela Leon to the 2022 NCAA Outdoor National Title in the pole vault.

Rasnick recently stepped away from collegiate track and field coaching after a pinnacle year in 2022. She loved the profession and opportunity to grow student-athletes on and off the track, but the extensive travel became too much of a sacrifice for her growing family.
​
Through her career, Rasnick continuously aided recruits in finding their fit, even if it meant those athletes were better suited elsewhere. She attributes much of her coaching success to being a great recruiter by understanding who was best suited for her program. In doing so, Rasnick built genuine relationships with athletes and developed a championship culture within her event group.
